How to Create a Campaign
Learn how to create and send email campaigns using MaileniumAI's intuitive campaign wizard.
Before You Start
Make sure you have contacts imported and at least one sender identity configured before creating a campaign.
Step 1: Choose Campaign Type
Navigate to Campaigns in your dashboard and click New Campaign. You'll be presented with three campaign types:
- Regular Campaign: Send immediately or schedule for later
- Automated Campaign: Triggered by specific events or conditions
- Scheduled Campaign: Set a specific date and time for delivery
Step 2: Select Template or Start from Scratch
For regular campaigns, choose from:
- Pre-built email templates
- Blank layouts (1-4 columns)
- Your saved templates
Step 3: Design Your Email
Use the drag-and-drop email builder to create your email:
- Add content blocks (text, images, buttons, etc.)
- Customize styling with colors, fonts, and spacing
- Use the live preview to see how it looks
- Test responsive design on mobile and desktop
Step 4: Select Recipients
Choose who will receive your campaign:
- Lists: Send to specific contact lists
- Segments: Target based on criteria (tags, behavior, etc.)
- Custom: Enter email addresses manually
Step 5: Configure Settings
Set up your campaign settings:
- Select sender identity
- Set subject line and preview text
- Configure tracking options (opens, clicks)
- Add unsubscribe link
Step 6: Review and Send
Before sending, review your campaign:
- Preview the email one final time
- Check recipient count
- Verify sender identity
- Send test email to yourself (optional)
- Click Send Now or Schedule
Pro Tip
Save your campaign as a draft at any step. You can return to edit and send it later from the Campaigns page.
